Thanksgiving Day Game: Prep 27 Malvern 34
11/27/08

St. Joseph\'s jumped out to an early 21-0 lead in the 1st half. Firing on all cylinders, The Prep scored by land and air and the D did their part with a few big turnovers. Malvern scored a TD with minutes left in the 2nd quarter to make the score a

Malvern came back and scored some points of their own in the 2nd half taking the lead 27 - 21. A big drive by The Prep tied the game up, but with less than a minute left in the 4th, Malvern scored to take the lead and win.

The Prep Fall to the Explorers 31 - 28
11/08/08

The Explorers jumped up quickly against the Prep. With minutes left in the first half, St. Joe\'s goes deep and connects for 7. The half ends with LaSalle up 17-7.

The Prep steps it up in the 2nd half and shows what fierce competitors they are. Some big plays close the 1st half gap, and victory was within reach. When all was said and done, the Prep played a great game but couldn\'t pull out the win.

Prep Opps for the Treat. Beats Roman 45 to 3
10/31/08

I guess the Prep had some Halloween festivities to get to because they sure lit up the score board pretty quickly in the first half of play.

Deja vu: the offensive and defensive line totally dominate; the backfield gets the consistent yards and breaks the big ones; the D backs come up with turnovers. I should just start cutting and pasting my comments every week.

Back to Back Shut Outs for Prep 38-0
10/25/08

Another week - another storm - another win. The O line really opened the holes this week for the back field. The Prep controlled the field, the clock and certainly the end zone.

The Prep D put on a clinic this weekend. To say they contained the Bonner attacks would be an understatement. Let\'s just say they were doing a little raining of their own, and Bonner\'s Offense got soaked.

Prep Shuts Out O'Hara 34-0
10/17/08

The Prep enters the stage for this ESPNU match up. St. Joe\'s rose to the occasion with one of their strongest performances to date. The 1st half had no shortage of showtime performances with the O and D one upping each other at each change of posse

More yards, more sacks, more points...yup, more of the same domination we saw in the first half. This being the first game of a 3 game divisional leg makes it all the sweeter. Up next: Bonner and Roman! Stay tuned...

The Prep Handle the Panthers 51 to 23
10/11/08

The Panthers capitalized on a few Prep turnovers early on. St. Joe\'s was able to settle down and begin a scoring frenzy that would continue until the last minutes of the game. (Our thoughts are with #29 Allen Mack who was hurt in the 1st half. We wi

There are a lot of highlights to go \'round this weekend. Big runs, clutch passes, interceptions, and a D line that would not let up. The Prep owned the 2nd half and left no hope for the Panthers.

Prep 42 Ryan 7
10/04/08

The Prep\'s kickoff team got a work out on this day. The score was 28-0 at the end of the 1st quarter. What can I say, the highlights speak for themselves...

The 2nd half the Prep managed to find the endzone a few more times. The D, as always, spectacular - rarely did Ryan make it passed the line of scrimmage. <br />Next up: Cheltenham.

SJ Prep 22 Father Judge 18
09/27/08

Prep takes to the air in this Saturday night match up against Father Judge. Big Prep D shows up in force once again

With the Judge D on its heels, St. Joe\'s takes advantage and throws down the ground game we\'ve come to expect. A few key defensive plays keep Judge at bay and seal up another win for the Prep.

Prep 17 LaSalle 31
09/20/08

An exciting 1st half had in the first dry game of Prep\'s season. Some show-time plays from the Prep O this week, continuing to show their running strength.

La Salle slipped away from the Prep in the 2nd half relying mostly on their passing game. The Prep kept the score within \'comeback\' range until the mid 4th quarter.

North Penn Slips past Prep 14-7
09/12/08

North Penn broke 2 big plays in the first half to jump ahead 14-0. Despite the score, the Prep and North Penn had an evenly matched first half.

The Prep came out fired up with the Defense shutting out the Knights in the second half. A big TD run late in the 3rd quarter put the pressure on North Penn. Unfortunately, the Prep wasn\'t able to find the end- zone again before the clock expired.

Hanna Bowl: Prep 7 St. Anthony's 6
09/06/08

2 games into the season and the Prep displaying serious toughness and intensity. Although down by a touchdown for much of the 1st half, the Prep keeps their cool and sticks to their game plan despite Hanna\'s presence.

The Prep continues to play tough despite the relentless Hanna. A TD and some big sacks seal up the tight margin of victory.

Prep Harvests a Big Win Over Parkland HS 20-13
08/29/08

The 1st quarter of action saw the Prep down by 10 and in desperate need of shaking of their ‘road legs’. Persistence, and good ol’ fashioned hard-nosed football provided for a field goal and td to tie it up at the end of the 1st half.

St. Joe’s D really stepped up here in the second half holding the Trojans to only a field goal while creating key turnovers. As for the Prep O, they found it best to run right over, around and through the Trojan D.
